Dashboard Notes

  • Note from Aug. 5, 2021

Starting with test results on Aug. 5, 2021, and moving forward, new cases will include individuals who previously tested positive and then test positive again 90 days (or more) later. This change is in accordance with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's threshold defining a probable re-infection. Prior to this change, any individual who had previously tested positive was not counted as a "new case."

  • Note from Oct. 5, 2020

Starting the week of Oct. 5, 2020, the Sindecuse Health Center began surveillance testing of students and employees involved in Intercollegiate Athletic programs as part of NCAA and Mid-American Conference requirements. Multiple tests for these individuals are pre-ordered in advance of the actual testing dates. After this change in procedure was made, test order dates no longer accurately represented the testing date for a large proportion of individuals tested.

Consequently, starting the week of Oct. 5, 2020, this dashboard displays data on the test result date rather than the test order date for all tests. Archived testing and new case data based on the order date (through Oct. 2, 2020) are available on the final page of the dashboard. The total number of individuals tested and total number of new cases reported since March 31, 2020, remain unchanged.
