CAE Center Help Desk via TeamViewer
TeamViewer is a software program that will allow one of the CAE Center admins to control your computer to troubleshoot issues on your machine.
Monday through Friday: 9:15 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Please use TeamViewer only if you are not on campus. If you are on campus, please call the CAE Center at: (269) 276-3283 or contact us through our Microsoft Teams channel:
If you open a TeamViewer case, please notify us using our Microsoft teams channel to ensure we see it. To use TeamViewer, please go to https://get.teamviewer.com/WMU-CAECenter-QS. If you do not receive a response after about 10 minutes, please call the CAE Center. The admins may be assisting other users.
When you first click the link, you should see this screen. The program will automatically download to your computer and you will only need to download this one time.
The download could take some time to begin. Please wait about 30 seconds before clicking the “try again” link.
Once the program is launched, you will see the screen below. The session code and name fields automatically populate (the name is based on the computer username). The description field needs to be filled by you. NOTE – The program MUST BE OPEN for the CAE Help Desk to work on your computer.
Please stay near your computer when you make the request. You will have to click “Allow” to let an admin control your computer.
Once the service is completed, you can simply close the program to disconnect your computer from the admin.
