Dr. Ben Wheatley

Ben Wheatley is the John P. and Mary Jane Swanson Assistant Professor of Engineering and the Sciences at Bucknell University. As a member of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, he is the Principal Investigator of the Mechanics and Modeling of Orthopaedic Tissues Laboratory. His research focuses on applying computational tools to clinical biomechanics and tissue structure-function mechanisms. The overarching goal of his work is to understand how the musculoskeletal system transmits and distributes load in both healthy and impaired populations. Dr. Wheatley received his BS in Engineering from Trinity College (Hartford, CT) in 2011 and his PhD from Colorado State University in 2017.
