Suicide Prevention Basics

This is a free, synchronous, virtual training. Our goal is to create a space for open conversation around mental health and suicide as well as provide tangible tactics to take with you to in your day to day experiences.

  • review appropriate language
  • examine statistics
  • discuss a framework for understanding suicidal behavior
  • talk about resources and what you can do to help people in your life
  • explore stigma around suicide and mental health
  • learn about VOAMI’s SERV program
