Suicide Prevention Basics

This is a free, synchronous, virtual training. Our goal is to create a space for open conversation around mental health and suicide as well as provide tangible tactics to take with you to in your day to day experiences.
In this training we will:
- review appropriate language
- examine statistics
- discuss a framework for understanding suicidal behavior
- talk about resources and what you can do to help people in your life
- explore stigma around suicide and mental health
- learn about VOAMI’s SERV program
