Hello, future art students! We know how daunting it can be to pack for art school. There's a lot to consider, and you want to ensure you have everything you need to succeed. Here are some tips from our current students on what to pack for art school.

Need a packing list for your dorm necessities? We also have a list of what to bring for your room.

Art supplies

The first and most obvious thing you'll need to pack is your art supplies. Make sure to check with your professors for a recommended list of materials. If you're unsure what to bring, start with the basics and build from there. Our students recommend

  • Belt box for singing in the dorms.
  • A sketchbook for art and drawing classes.
  • Dancers can't live without their massage guns.
  • Recording equipment will give you more flexibility when creating music.

For your room

  • Extra blankets
  • Mattress pad
  • Electric kettle
  • A fan
  • Wall calendar
  • Extention cords
  • Power strips
