Richmond Institute for Design and Innovation
The Western Michigan University Richmond Institute for Design and Innovation is housed in Central Kohrman Hall. The institute encompasses 37,000 square feet and features studio spaces, various labs and multipurpose meeting rooms.
Workspaces include
- Fabrication and Rapid Prototyping Labs equipped with 3D printers, laser cutters and CNC routers.
- Student studios are furnished with height-adjustable desks and the latest computer and digital tablet technologies.
- Material Resource Area to familiarize students with common manufacturing materials and processes.
