Jeffrey W. Patton - Dean's Advisory Board
Jeffrey W. Patton has a distinguished public service career in public, community and mental health. Since 2001, Mr. Patton has led Integrated Services of Kalamazoo (ISK), formerly known as Kalamazoo Community Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (KCMHSAS), as the Chief Executive Officer. ISK is a public county-sponsored Community Mental Health Services Authority for Kalamazoo County. His prior positions include Deputy Director of the Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services Administration and Director of the Bureau of Community and Hospital Services within the Michigan Department of Community Health (now known as the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services). In the 1980s, he served as the Executive Director of the Family Health Center, Inc., in Kalamazoo. In 2014, Senator Debbie Stabenow, sponsored the “Excellence in Mental Health and Addiction Treatment Act” which created a Certified Community Behavioral Health Center pilot program that provides competitive opportunity to apply for funding to support additional clinics and more comprehensive services for people across the state. ISK received certification from SAMHSA to be a certified CCBHC site directly providing CCBHC needed services and contracts with 4-Direct Care Organizations for consumer choice and more capacity. And, in June 2023, ISK, opened the first 24 hours Behavioral Health and Urgent Care Facility in Kalamazoo.
As a resident of Kalamazoo County, Mr. Patton serves on various boards and in volunteer positions including the Board of Trustees at Kalamazoo Valley Community College. He also serves on the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA, 2016-2023) National Advisory Council for the Center for Mental Health Services.

Ismail B. Sendi, MD Lifetime Achievement Award (National Alliance on Mental Illness, 2020) and
The National Advisory Council Member for the Center for Mental Health Services United States Department of Health and Human Services (SAMHSA 2016-2023). Mr. Patton holds a Master of Social Work degree from Western Michigan University.
