Visa Service Fee Structure
The visa service fees address the cost of providing service beyond graduation and are for optional services related to work permits after graduation and associated administrative costs. These do not apply to the admission I-20 related to pursing enrollment and completion of an academic degree. These fees contribute to enabling the continuation of service beyond graduation and additional support to the campus community.
The following fee structure for services provided by the WMU Haenicke Institute for Global Education enables the continuation of service and support to the campus community.
- Tier 1 Fees: Optional Practical Training (OPT), Academic Training, J-1 Scholar Extensions
- Tier 2 Fees: STEM Optional Practical Training (OPT), J-1 Scholar Initial Application
- Tier 3 Fees: Temporary Worker, Permanent Residency
Please note that pursuant to University Policy, only the Office of the Vice President for Legal Affairs and General Counsel is authorized to engage counsel in immigration proceedings. In addition, the Haenicke Institute for Global Education has been designated to process all immigration-related paperwork for WMU.
