Paul Mailloux, LMSW, serves as the Director of Field Education (BSW Field Director) and Interim BSW Program Director in the School of Social Work at Western Michigan University (WMU). Prior to these roles, Mr. Mailloux served for 15 years as a part-time instructor and as the Interim Director of Field Education. Since 1998, Mr. Mailloux has been a private practitioner of clinical social work in Kalamazoo and has more than 16 years of experience in the nonprofit sector as both a clinical supervisor and clinician. He earned his MSW from Western Michigan University. Mr. Mailloux’s professional interests include innovative education models, mental health, substance abuse treatment, and the integration of health technology for students and community field education agencies. He is also dedicated to supporting international adoptive families and fostering educational and cultural linkages with the Republic of Korea. In addition, Mr. Mailloux serves on the board of Community Student Connection Inc., an interdisciplinary nonprofit established in 2020 to support international and domestic students during the COVID-19 pandemic. His primary teaching areas include field education, social welfare policy, clinical social work, and policy at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
