Here at the WMU School of Social Work, we want to help you succeed in obtaining your degree(s) and achieving your professional goals and dreams. Actively participating in advising is vital to this process. Below are the advising arrangements for both undergraduate and graduate social work students. Tools for students and advisors, including student handbooks and commonly used forms, can be found here.
Both pre-social work and social work majors are advised by Jill Hamilton in the CHHS advising office. To make an appointment, call (269) 387-2656.
Graduate students are assigned a faculty advisor upon enrollment in the program. Contact information for all advisors is listed on our school directory. If students are unsure of their assigned advisor or would like to request a different advisor, please contact the School of Social Work at (269) 387-3180. Frequently used forms for advisors and students are available on the student documents page. Students can leave feedback about their advising experience using the graduate advising evaluation form below.
