Hyejoon Park

Dr. Park joined the School of Social Work faculty in 2021. Dr. Park received a Master’s of Social Work from the University of Michigan, a Master’s of Educational Psychology from Harvard University, and a Ph.D. from the School of Social Work at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Her research areas include racial/ethnic relations, cross-cultural studies, relative/kinship care, maternal/women health, child health, environmental/community health, evaluation of community services and programs (e.g., mentoring programs, childcare services, Head Start programs, after-school programs), and social/welfare policies for low-income and/or ethnic-minority/immigrant families. She has taught social policy, welfare policy analysis, research methods and evaluations, multiculturalism and diversity, social work for children and families, social work for families affected by disabilities, introduction to social work, and Asian American families.
