Jennifer is the Program Manager for the Title-IV E Child Welfare Program and has worked in Child Welfare for over 20 years. Her most recent Child Welfare experience was in Michigan in the private non-profit sector contracted with the State of Michigan. She has done case work, supervision, program development and was the site coordinator at one of the agency's satellite offices. Jennifer has worked throughout Southwest Michigan since moving to the area in 2008 doing community work and community engagement in a variety of settings. She has been committed to Child Welfare and the work it entails since completing her undergraduate degree at St. Norbert College, in Depere, WI.
After several years of working in the field she went back to earn an MS degree from Springfield College, where she studied Human Service Leadership Management. Her thesis project focused on maltreatment of children after entering the foster care system.
Jennifer grew up in Milwaukee, WI where her mom was a foster parent for over 30 years. She took in only teenage girls and this is where Jennifer's passion for this work started. She was exposed to stories and the impact of abuse and neglect of children at a very young age. Throughout her undergraduate course study, she volunteered, and post-graduation she was a foster parent for several years.
Jennifer enjoys spending time with her daughter and their 5-year-old dog Sky, who loves the dog park and snuggles.
