Project: Campus Trends Re-Imagining
Summary: Students did best practice research on the past reports and other successful sustainable cafes, leading to the formation of an event in the “Campus Trends” space that was catered by WMU catering services.

Year: 2013
Project: Spatial Analysis
Summary:  This project analyzed potential locations for the café location and used a ranking system for important appliances and hardware for the café. The Bernhard Center was ranked highest on the scale.

Year: 2012
Project: The Campus Beet
Summary: The Campus Beet RSO raises awareness through their weekly sustainable lunches. The Campus Beet held an event that served over 125 interested students, faculty, staff and community members. They held a second event that was to simulate a “mock café”  and served over 500 people. The second “mock café” event was recognized by the Association for Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE). The Campus Beet still serves lunches every week out of the Wesley Foundation on campus.

Project: WISCC  Weekly Initiative for a Student Cooperative Cafe
Summary: The Weekly Initiative for a Student Cooperative Café (WISCC) became a registered student organization and met twice weekly to raise awareness and work on formulating a café concept for WMU.
