Construction Engineering

Western Michigan University's construction engineering program will prepare you for an entry-level position in construction planning, management or development. Technical, business and human relations knowledge and skills are developed in the classroom and on residential and commercial construction job sites.

Beyond the classroom

As a construction engineering student at WMU, you will have the opportunity to participate in hands-on projects with local industry, qualify for our departmental scholarships, and become a member of the Sunseeker solar racing team. WMU's College of Engineering and Applied Sciences also has more than 25 student organizations open to you, including the American Society of Civil Engineers, Associated General Contractors, National Association of Women in Construction and the Institute of Transportation Engineers.
