Three accountancy students receive $15,000 scholarship
Marcos Chavez-Cortez, Ebony Faye Simpson and Mary Welk each received a $15,000 scholarship from the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) for the 2024-25 academic year. This is a record number of scholarships PCAOB has given to WMU accounting students in a single year.

WMU food marketing program wins industry award
The Western Michigan University food marketing program is being recognized for industry exceptionalism by Progressive Grocer. Western’s food marketing program received the 2024 Impact Award for Educational Support and Learning Advancement. WMU is the first university to win this award.
