Enhancing Social Emotional Skills and Psychosomatic Interventions for Children in Social Work Practice

Posted by Joel Krauss for College of Health and Human Services

This course is for social work professionals who want to deepen their understanding and enhance their skills related to the social-emotional well-being of children.

You will explore the theoretical foundations of social emotional development and gain practical insights into psychosomatic interventions within the context of social work practice. We'll discuss advocacy efforts to address systemic barriers to social emotional competence and promote equitable access to social emotional resources. We'll cover a range of evidence-based strategies and interventions to promote emotional resilience, social competence and overall mental health in children. This course will help you support the social emotional development of children through psychosomatic interventions. You will engage in interactive discussions, case studies and practical exercises to apply concepts learned in real-world scenarios.
