Student Organizations

The Department of Mathematics at Western Michigan University has two student organizations. Both promote mathematics and related fields by providing a casual and relaxed environment conducive to learning. These organizations are committed to bringing together students with a common interest in various aspects of mathematics.

Math Club

Join the Math Club for fun math and social events. Numerous activities take place each semester, held jointly with WMU's chapter of Pi Mu Epsilon, the mathematics honors society. The Math Club is open to all Western Michigan University students interested in mathematical topics. There are no other membership requirements.

Pi Mu Epsilon

The Michigan Epsilon Chapter of Pi Mu Epsilon, the math honors society, encourages eligible students to join. Numerous activities take place each semester and are held jointly with the Math Club.
