The Department of Mathematics at Western Michigan University offers Undergraduate Scholarships and Graduate Assistantships.
Undergraduate Scholarships
Undergraduate students in the Department of Mathematics may be eligible for financial assistance as noted below. (Deadline: Feb. 15 [applications received after this date will be considered if openings remain])
Graduate Assistantships
Teaching/research assistantships are awarded each year to new and continuing graduate students. In most cases assistantships are awarded for the academic year beginning in fall and include:
- A stipend and up to nine credit hours per semester of tuition remission for graduate courses.
- An average of 20 hours per week of duties in the department such as tutoring, recitations and teaching courses in mathematics.
