Mark Denenfeld Memorial Scholarship Award in Political Science

Eligibility

All applicants must have earned at least 60, but no more than 105 credit hours, credit hours toward an undergraduate degree in political science. Preference will be given to applicants with higher numbers of completed hours in political science. You must be a declared major in political science.

Criteria for Selection

Students must have met the basic academic requirement of and demonstrated overall academic excellence at Western Michigan University and compiled a record of community service and service to others.

Amount and Duration of Award

The amount of the award is up to $500 for the academic year.

Notification

The Department of Political Science shall notify the family of the late Mark Denefeld of the scholarship recipient annually. 

Your application form, essay and names of references are due in the political science department office, 3308 Friedmann Hall, by March 1. Announcement of the award will be made at the end of March. The award will be presented at the Political Science Honors Luncheon in early April.
