Apply

Admission into the Western Michigan University Department of Theatre is a multi-step process:

  1. WMU Application: Submit a general application to Western Michigan University.
  2. WMU Theatre Application: Submit an application through Acceptd to interview & audition for the Department of Theatre. Please contact the WMU School of Theatre and Dance by email if the application fee through Acceptd presents a financial hardship that would prevent application.
  3. Attend an audition or interview: Below is a list of audition and interview opportunities and information about participating in each. Due to Covid-19, all auditions and interviews for the 2021-2022 academic year will be conducted online and via video submission. Sign up for a virtual visit here. While we do have rolling admissions for most programs,  we encourage students to complete their applications by February 15th to ensure that spots remain in their program of choice. Please note that applying to the University before December 15 provides many scholarship opportunities.
