Black Lives, Black Words 2019

"Black Lives Black Words provides theatre artists of color the opportunity to have their voice heard, raw and unfiltered without a gatekeeper policing them so that they can speak honest truth about the issues that take place in their communities." -Reginald Edmund
Black Lives, Black Words is an international project aimed with discussing the question "do Black lives matter?" Through short staged readings, poetry, and performance local Black artists will explore what it means to answer that in 2019, and tell the unique narratives that can be found in the Black diaspora.
Black Lives, Black Words is a one-night-only performance that is free to the public. For more information, call the WMU Theatre box office at (269) 387-6222.
