Matt Shabala

Matt Shabala is coming off of a three-year hiatus in Denver where he spent his time teaching private piano and voice lessons at Globalsound Studio, and is over the moon to be returning to WMU Music Theatre!  As a musical director, Matt has a lot of favorite credits from WMU, including Caroline, or Change, The Wiz, and The Rocky Horror Show at Miller Auditorium.  A regional Wilde Award nominee several times (and one time Broadway World Detroit nominee for best musical direction), Matt graduated from Grand Valley State University (cum laude) with a Bachelor's of Music Education, and has thirty-two years’ experience at the piano.
