The FMC: Welcoming food industry professionals and next gen talent to Kalamazoo
The WMU Food Marketing Conference will bring nearly 1,000 food industry professionals to Kalamazoo on March 24 to 25. Conference topics include AI's role in the food industry, market dynamics impacting natural and organic foods, and consumer trends in value and protein, among others. Students often secure internships and full-time roles through direct access to presidents, CEOs and industry leaders at the event.
High schoolers prepare for college through WMU business simulation course
Van Buren Tech students learned business fundamentals in a dual enrollment course taught by Dr. Decker Hains, chair of the Department of Management. The semester culminated with group presentations at WMU Haworth, giving students real college-level experience. Students learned teamwork, communication, Excel skills and presentation techniques through this Experience-Driven Learning opportunity.
