WMU students demonstrate superior sales skills in competition
Western Michigan University sales students posted a strong performance at the 8th Annual Steel City Sales Challenge, with one senior business student placing second in the role-play category and several students qualifying as finalists.
Sweet success: Food marketing student cooks up skills to help business thrive
Layla Wallace, sophomore in the food marketing major, is the owner of Layla’s Cool Pops. The local dessert shop has been a business in Kalamazoo since 2015. Nearly 10 years in, Wallace has raised more than $20,000 for community organizations that provide resources and housing for individuals in need.
