Sophia Chen is a driven data engineer who uses her curiosity to keep growing in her profession. With a major in computer information systems and minors in both accountancy and finance, Chen has a broad base of knowledge that enables her to excel in her career.

Her natural passion to constantly challenge herself and use her analytical mindset has served her well in varied roles, from consulting as a business system analyst and business intelligence developer to her current role as data engineer project lead for HealthFleet, a leading health technology company that accelerates health and wellness programs to market.

During her time at WMU, Chen worked as a student IT help desk specialist where she was able to apply her passion for technical skills to helping students solve everyday problems—making their lives a little easier along the way.

Chen’s ability to visualize data, combined with her pursuit of lifelong learning, is a perfect combination for both her career and personal life. Whether it’s designing complex solutions to integrate data from multiple sources or riding her way to the leaderboard on her Peloton, she tackles every new challenge with enthusiasm and a desire to grow.
