Sanford Center Workshop: Paychecks, Taxes and Benefits 101

Many students enter the workforce without understanding how to read a paycheck or evaluate employee benefits. This workshop explains payroll deductions, taxes, W-4 forms, common tax documents and the basics of filing taxes as a student or new employee. Students will also learn how to evaluate workplace benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, paid leave and employer-sponsored financial wellness programs.
