Talent Trailblazer

Lead People Technology Analyst, Pinterest

Rachel Guenther has been a rising star ever since her undergraduate education at WMU Haworth where she graduated as a Presidential Scholar with a 4.0 GPA and a position on the Student Leadership Advisory Board. Following graduation, she landed a position at Stryker.

Joining Stryker’s HR systems team in 2016 and learning on the job, Guenther soon realized what a perfect fit the industry was for her with its mix of HR-focused work and technical and analytical skills. In 2018, Stryker implemented a new HR platform called Workday, and Guenther was a key member of the implementation. The project catapulted Guenther’s career. She subsequently led two large-scope system implementations later on at two separate companies.

She has now become the subject matter expert for, “all things talent acquisition and technology,” as a lead people technology analyst at Pinterest. A naturally creative person, Guenther had pinned the goal of working at Pinterest to her board a while ago. As a high achiever, she has also started her own lifestyle blog and committed to continuing her education through Cornell University’s product management certification program. Eager and excited for where her path takes her within the HR technology world in the years to come, Guenther is embracing her field and her entrepreneurial spirit as she balances all aspects of her career.
