Educated Changemaker
Graduate Research Assistant, Cornell Industrial and Labor Relations Graduate Degree Program
Director of National Recruiting, Summer Venture in Management Program, Harvard Business School
Oh, the places you’ll go, Holly Harmon! From a children’s book author to Etsy business owner, to WMU Haworth’s first representative for the Harvard Summer Venture in Management Program—where she is now the director of national recruiting—Harmon has had many adventures.
After graduating with a B.B.A. in human resource management and a minor in business analytics, she joined the sales and learning development team at XPO Logistics. While in that position, Harmon was inspired to return to school and was admitted into Cornell University’s Master of Industrial and Labor Relations degree program where she also served as the president of her cohort, a research assistant for the Center in Advanced Human Resource Studies and a teaching assistant for three courses focusing on diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives and policies in the workplace.
In the summer of 2022, Harmon left her position at XPO Logistics and began a new experience in a graduate internship with PepsiCo. Upon her graduation from Cornell, she plans to stay with PepsiCo and join their human resources operations corporate team in a full-time position.
Favorite WMU Professor:
“Dr. Christina Stamper has had a profound impact on my academic and professional journey. She has supported and mentored me throughout my time at WMU. I will always be grateful for everything I learned and received during my time in the HR program, and I know that without her support, I wouldn't be where I am today.”
