McLaughlin’s company takes some of the financial burden of medical care off patients and the administrative burden off hospital staff. Patients can check their eligibility against their hospital’s financial assistance program, and apply using an easy-to-access online tool. Meanwhile, hospital staff save thousands of hours of time related to manually reviewing and processing applications.

McLaughlin identified this critical need after working closely with patient billing processes at hospitals. He studied the laws and regulations surrounding billing practices and identified many areas where low-income patients could receive discounts for their care. His inventive solution created unexpected efficiencies, and possibilities, for the hospital and healthcare finance industries. With over 10 years invested in serving patients, the foray into business ownership has been incredibly rewarding for McLaughlin.
