Exploration and Discovery - World Languages and Culture

Courses in the World Languages and Culture category should promote global engagement through study of other communities to understand the human experience.

Courses in this category must meet two outcomes, one of which is required.

Demonstrate familiarity with a language other than English and/or the culture associated with it.

Develop understanding and practices for personal wellness.

Demonstrate and apply scientific literacy.

Increase foundational knowledge of the sciences, social sciences, or the arts.

Develop creative and critical thinking.

Apply different methods of intellectual inquiry, investigation, and discovery.

Develop sensitivity to diversity and inclusion. (Cannot be selected with planetary sustainability)

Develop practices for planetary sustainability. (Cannot be selected with diversity and inclusion)
