Territorial Brewing

Grantier and Davis started brewing German-style lagers in Davis' garage. Disappointed by the lack of breweries in the area serving the German-style beer they were making for themselves, Grantier and Davis decided it was time to open a brewery of their own.

Grantier and Davis, who were working in the hazardous waste removal and medical industries, respectively, opened Territorial Brewing Co. in 2014.

The brewing company, located in Springfield, Michigan, near Battle Creek, offers the German-style lagers and ales the two founders love, along with an assortment of burgers and German-inspired food.

Territorial Brewing Co. uses products from many local and Michigan-based food providers. The bar and communal tables at the brewery were made from reclaimed lumber provided by Kalamazoo’s Edison Neighborhood Association.
