Political Science Assistantship Application
Application for Graduate Assistantships/Associateships
1. If you are applying simultaneously for admission to a graduate program in political science (MA, MIDA, PhD), the letters of reference, CV and statement you submit through the online application system will be used in consideration of funding if admitted. The only additional document to be submitted directly to the department is this application.
Application for admission must be submitted to the Office of Admissions.
2. If you are currently a graduate student in one of our programs, have three of your current or recent professors fill out reference forms or write letters of recommendation for you. Students applying for funding renewal for the third time need only one letter from a professor. See "Funding Renewal Process for Political Science Graduate Appointees" in the graduate manual for more information. Have your references submit their letters via email to Christina Oberheim.
NOTE: Students must reapply for funding each year of eligibility. Determine that you meet eligibility requirement for funding by reviewing criteria.
All materials are due on or before the application deadline, February 1.
Awards will be announced by early April.
If you have questions or concerns, please contact Christina Oberheim, administrative assistant II, Department of Political Science
