century of votes for women - Kevin

  • Kevin Corder's co-authored book "A Century of Votes for Women: American Elections Since Suffrage" will be released January 2020! This is his second book with Dr. Christina Wolbrecht, University of Notre Dame, discussing women's voting habits since suffrage.  Next year, 2020, marks the 100th year anniversary of 19th Amendment which granted women the right to vote! 

YK Wang at conference

  • YK Wang has been awarded the Taiwan and Asia Program grant from Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in US through the Taiwan Ministry of Foreign Affairs. 
  • Mark Hurwitz is back in Washington D.C. at the National Science Foundations Social Sciences Division.

Enjoying Retirement

After more than four decades of service to Western Michigan University, Dave Houghton and Sushi Datta-Sandhu hung up their professor's regalia and entered a new phase in their lives.  They are each happily enjoying their new found freedom and treasure the memories they have of teaching Broncos.
