Darius de Haas
Darius de Haas enjoys a multifaceted career as a singer, recording artist and actor. TV: The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel BROADWAY: Rent, Kiss of the Spider Woman, Carousel, Marie Christine, The Gershwins’ Fascinating Rhythm, and Shuffle Along. Other credits include his Obie Award winning lead performance in Running Man (Music-Theater Group), Children of Eden (Papermill Playhouse) Once On This Island (1st National Tour), The Bubbly Black Girl Sheds Her Chameleon Skin (Playwrights Horizons), Jesus Christ Superstar- Gospel (Alliance Theater) and As You Like It (Delacorte/ Public Theater). CONCERTS: Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center American Songbook, London’s Royal Festival Hall, Disney Concert Hall, The Kennedy Center and numerous symphonies. RECORDINGS: Quiet Please (Bridge Records), Day Dream: Variations on Strayhorn (PS Classics) as well as many Original Cast Recordings and soundtracks (including The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel as the voice of “Shy Baldwin”). Darius serves on the International Board of Directors for Covenant House serving homeless youth throughout the US and South America and is a founding member of Black Theatre United.
COVID Safety Procedures:
In line with WMU policy and industry standards, we will be requiring proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test dated within a week of the performance date. WMU students, faculty, and staff can show their green COVID screening badge. Masks will still be required for all audience members.
Upon arrival, please be ready to present your proof of vaccination or negative test result, as well as a photo ID. Verification will take place in-person during the check-in process. You may show us your physical card, a picture of a card, or a secure health wallet app.
