How to add a Video

  1. Select Video from the Component type drop down list and click the Add new Component or Add another Component button.

  2. Provide the required Video by pressing the Select media button.  Click on the Web tab of the resulting popup and add a YouTube or Vimeo video URL or Embed code.  Then press the Submit button.

  3. Select the Aspect ratio of the referenced Video.

  4. Check Autoplay if you want the Video to automatically begin playing on loop while muted and you want to make use of the Link Title and URL.

  5. Add any Overlay text you would like placed on top of the Video.

  6. If Autoplay is checked, you can provide a Link Title and URL to add a button on top of the Video below any Overlay text.

  7. If Autoplay is checked, you can choose a Position for the Overlay text.

Things worth mentioning

  • The Aspect ratio designates the ratio of the area that the embedded video will be confined to.  The chosen Video will not be cropped so letterboxing or pillarboxing will occur if the selected Aspect ratio does not match the ratio of the Video.  This would result in black bars above and below or left and right of the Video

  • If Autoplay is checked, then the selected Video will automatically begin playing on loop, muted and without video player controls (play, pause, seek, etc.).  This option allows the Video to be used as a background element in conjunction with the Overlay text or Link.

  • If you have provided Overlay text, but Autoplay is left unchecked, then your Overlay text will be visible initially, but hidden when the Video is played.

  • The Link Title and URL and Position have no effect if Autoplay is left unchecked.
