For Faculty and Staff

Employees may have a Banner account for charges such as tuition & fees, health center charges, and other miscellaneous fees. All employees are responsible for paying balances on their account by the due date. Account balances that are 30 days past due or greater, are subject to the assessment of service charges at 1.5% monthly (18% annually) on approximately the 15th of each month. Service charges will continue to assess monthly on any past due balance until the account is current.

 The use of an employee account is a privilege. All payments need to be made when due.

Posting charges

Some departments have been given authorization to post their own departmental charges. Please call AR at (269)387-4224 to inquire about approval for posting charges to Banner and procedures for posting these charges.

Tuition discount for employees

Western Michigan University offers a discount program for benefits-eligible employees. Eligibility is confirmed and determined by Human Resources. The discount will appear on your billing statement as information is provided to Accounts Receivable. Tuition remission for spouses and dependent children

Employees must establish eligibility annually by submitting an application for remission to Human Resources. Part time instructor tuition discount

The tuition discount for part time instructors (PIO) will apply to accounts after the add/drop date. It may take several weeks for the discount eligibility to be confirmed and applied.  Please contact Human Resources at (269) 387-3620 with questions regarding PIO tuition discounts.
