In an effort to save time, resources and enhance sustainability, Western Michigan University currently utilizes electronic billing for student monthly statements. Beginning Summer II 2018, WMU will also go paperless and utilize electronic billing for all semester invoices. As we strive to increase our sustainability, it is also our hope this will eliminate mail delays and provide students earlier account notification with more planning time.
Monthly statements are only available electronically through the student’s payment and account information. Statements generate on or after the 15th of every month. Monthly statements provide detail for new charges in addition to showing the unpaid prior past due balance. Students and authorized users receive an email and text when a new monthly statement is available for viewing. Students with a $0.00 balance and no current activity will not receive a monthly statement.
Students can view their monthly statement and account balance by logging in through GoWMU with their Bronco NetID and password, and then selecting the Payment and Account Information channel. Authorized users may view statements and make payment by logging into the authorized user website with their email address and password.
Through Summer I 2018, WMU will mail a semester invoice to the permanent address of all students registered for Western Michigan University classes. Invoices are generated four to five weeks prior to the beginning of the semester. The semester invoice will include tuition, fees, room and board, pending financial aid, class schedule for the semester and the tuition due date.
Beginning Summer II, 2018 invoices will no longer be mailed to students. Students and authorized users will receive an email/text notification when the invoices are complete and ready for viewing. It is important for students to check their wmich.edu email account for invoice and statement notifications.
