Diana R. Lamphiere is an instructor of finance and commercial law at Western Michigan University's Haworth College of Business.
Her experience includes externing at the Cook County State Attorney's Office while in law school, and clerking with a judge in the chancery division of the Circuit Court of Cook County upon graduation from law school. She then practiced law in a large firm for a short time, then a small firm for many years. She practiced in the area of business transactions and business litigation, advising businesses, individuals and non-profits. She also worked in house as a contracts associate for Brilliance Publishing (an Amazon company), and for LexisNexis as an attorney advisor in the commercial transactions area of Lexis Practice Advisor.
Prior to joining the faculty at the Haworth College of Business, professor Lamphiere taught in the legal studies program at Grand Valley State University; the Department of Integrative, Religious, and Intercultural Studies at Grand Valley State University; and in legal studies at Davenport University. She also serves as board vice president for Migrant Legal Aid, as board secretary for the Grand Rapids Film Festival, and as a board vice president for The Diatribe.
