Bio:

Dr. Reza Mousavi is an associate professor of business information systems at Western Michigan University's Haworth College of Business.

He has contributed to the fields of information assurance, cybersecurity and business analytics. His dissertation delved into the role of web assurance mechanisms in e-commerce and social media contexts, providing valuable insights into the evolving digital landscape. Furthermore, Mousavi's research extends into business analytics, with a focus on social media analytics, driven by the online review performance in e-commerce platforms. As an educator and researcher, Mousavi's work benefits both academia and industry. He has published in reputable journals, including Decision Support Systems, Communications of the Association for Information Systems, Information Systems Frontiers, Behavior & Information Technology, Journal of Computer Information Systems and Journal of Global Information Management. 

Mousavi has won numerous awards while at Western Michigan University, including the 2019 Faculty Teaching Award, Haworth College of Business; 2019 Faculty Teaching Award, Department of Business Information Systems; and 2018  Faculty Research Award, Department of Business Information Systems.
