Colonel Rodney Faulk, B.B.A.'87
WMU ROTC - Wall of Fame
Rod Faulk was commissioned as a second lieutenant from WMU Army ROTC in 1986 and graduated with a B.B.A. from WMU December 1987. Colonel Faulk has held numerous assignments from company to brigade level.
Following assignments as platoon leader, battalion staff and two company commands, he has served with First Army Regional Emergency Preparedness Liaison Team V, Great Lakes Naval Station, Illinois, deputy inspector general, Joint Task Force Guantanamo, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and inspector general for the 300th Military Police Brigade, Inkster, Michigan, among other assignments. He assumed command of the 785th Military Police Battalion in 2004 and deployed the battalion to Iraq to exercise command and control of the world's largest military detention facility at Camp Bucca, Iraq, from 2005 to 2006. He then served as chief of staff for the 300th Military Police Brigade from 2006 to 2008, deploying again to Iraq with the brigade headquarters from 2007 to 2008. He served as deputy commander, 300th Military Police Brigade, Inkster, Michigan, from 2008 to 2010. He is currently assigned as commander, 310th Expeditionary Sustainment Command (Rear), Indianapolis, Indiana.
His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal with oak leaf cluster, the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Meritorious Service Medal with three oak leaf clusters, the Army Commendation Medal with one silver and three bronze oak leaf clusters, and the Army Achievement Medal with bronze oak leaf cluster.
He earned his master's degree in business administration from Wayne State University in 1993 and graduated from the United States Army War College in 2009. His civilian career includes experience in banking and technology management with Comerica Bank and IBM.
