Efficacious Executive

Account Executive, Hormel Foods

Trevor Hart began working for Hormel Foods in January of 2020. He was promoted early from training to his first territory in Nashville, Tennessee, as a territory manager. Showing himself to be an effective team member, Hart exceeded his sales goals for the territory for four quarters in a row and won an award for being one of the top five food service sales reps in the southeast region for the 2021 fiscal year! Hart then received a double promotion, skipping the next territory manager role and accepting his current role as an account executive in Atlanta.

Since his promotion, Hart has worked to uphold the cultural beliefs of Hormel by cultivating community and professional relationships under his management, all while continuing to grow his territory. Hart’s commitment to the company was recognized by his executive team when they selected him to join the first Rise Above Committee. Here, he reviews employee engagement survey comments while being an advocate for Hormel’s “Speak Up” culture, working with the committee to generate recommendations for leadership to promote a culture where every voice is heard.

Hart was also voted in as the lead chair of the professional development committee for a business resource group called Black Leaders and Allies Advancing Cultural Knowledge (BLAACK). At a recent leadership conference for BLAACK, he facilitated a fireside chat with Steven A. White—member of the Board of Directors for Hormel and the former CEO of Comcast Cable’s West division. Hart has also launched a new program at Hormel called BLAACK in Business, with a goal to help employees gain more access to financial literacy resources.
