Burns
KALAMAZOO, Mich.—The economy and financial markets will be the topics at the upcoming Mercantile Bank of Michigan Breakfast Speaker Series hosted by the Haworth College of Business. Chris Burns, senior fixed-income analyst at Greenleaf Trust, will give a presentation titled "Feeling Vertigo? An Update on Financial Markets and the Economy" at 8 a.m. Friday, March 30, in 2150 Schneider Hall.
The event is free and open to the public and begins with breakfast at 7:30 a.m. Reservations are required and can be made by calling (269) 387-6059 or at wmich.edu/business/mercantile-rsvp. Free parking is available at Fetzer Center Lot 72F.
Burns
At Greenleaf Trust, Burns focuses on developing and implementing fixed income portfolio strategies. Prior to joining Greenleaf Trust, he was an associate client advisor at Bessemer Trust, primarily servicing ultra-high net worth clients.
Burns holds bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Michigan. He serves as the instructor of the student managed investment fund class at WMU's Haworth College of Business. Burns is designated as a Chartered Financial Analyst and a licensed Certified Public Accountant.
