Register for CTD Assessments
Online registration for CTD Assessment is easy. Go to: https://my.ctd.northwestern.edu. Follow these steps:
- If this is your first time to register a student, click on "Sign Up" to create your account. Otherwise, log in to your Toolbox account. If necessary, add your student to your account. It asks you to create an account for the student with a student email address. We recommend creating a free email address (possibly a google address) if your student does not have a non-school email. You may select the school that the student currently attends as choosing ATYP as the school no longer works.
- Select the “Courses” tab at the top of the page.
- Scroll down to select “Assessments” under the Subject Area Tab.
- Type “ATYP “ into the Search Box.
- Locate the WMU/ATYP options in results.
- Click onto the + in the top corner of the box to expand the description.
- Select “Apply Now.”
Select Student name-Click next
Select Next Step-Pay for one or more applications-click next
Select the student registration--in the first drop down menu, “Do you want to apply for need-based Financial Aid?--select NO-Click Next
**If you are using a waiver code provided by ATYP, DO NOT select apply for Financial Assistance. This feature is for CTD programs only. The next field provides a place to enter the fee waiver code
Enter the Coupon Code if you have one—Erase the *--click next
If you are not using a waiver code, just click next
Enter your credit card information and submit

Creating a College Board Account
Before test week you MUST create a College Board STUDENT Account. If you already have one, ensure you can log in to it.
Creating a College Board Account-REQUIRED FOR TESTING
For students who are 13 or older
- Go to the College Board website.
- Select the student option and follow the steps to create an account.
- Download the College Board Bluebook™ App to your device.
- Ensure you can log into the Bluebook™ App using your College Board Account Login
- Instructions from your proctor the week of the assessment will include instructions for accessing the test in Bluebook.
For students under 13
In order to create a College Board account, a parent/guardian must complete the consent form and email it directly to the College Board at the email address outlined on the info page. More information can be found on the College Board website. There is not a firm timeline for this to be completed and could take several weeks, so please apply early. If a student does not have a College Board Account, they will not be able to access the test.
Once a College Board account has been granted, please follow the instructions above for students 13 and older.
