Bio:

Nan Janecke works as Coordinator of the Academically Talented Youth Program at Western Michigan University. A graduate of the University of Michigan with a bachelor’s degree in English, she also has her master’s in School Counseling. An advocate for gifted education for many years, Nan is past president of the Michigan Association for Gifted Children after serving as Communications Officer and editor of MAGC’s newsletter for more than a decade. She is also a founding member and president of Partners in Learning for Unlimited Success of Southwest Michigan, a regional support and advocacy group for families of gifted children. Nan is a frequent speaker at both MAGC and NAGC conferences, specializing in topics related to social/emotional issues, parenting, and gifted students in middle school.
