Dan Grohs is a part-time instructor of art at Western Michigan University's Gwen Frostic School of Art where he teaches courses in photography and general education.
In addition to teaching at WMU where he earned his Bachelors of Fine Art in Photography, Dan Grohs also teaches at Southwestern Michigan College. Dan has been actively teaching photography and fine art foundation classes since the Fall of 1991. Mr. Grohs' strengths are rooted in traditional silver based film media and favors the 4x5 view camera. However; his undying thirst for knowledge, allows him to constantly discoverer new ideas, techniques and processes in the field of photography. Throughout his teaching career, Dan has challenged his students to reach goals beyond their expectations. He believes in learning from his students as they learn from him. Teaching fine art and photography is his passion not just his job.
