Supporting the Gwen Frostic School of Art Fund directly donates to student access to materials, professional development opportunities, and visiting artists to bolster their academic and artistic experience. 

Faculty Support As a research University, the Faculty of FSoA are constantly creating, exhibiting, publishing, and researching to continue their work and therefore enhance the education of Gwen Frostic School of Art students. If you would like to donate to Faculty Research and Creative Activities, please use The Gwen Frostic School of Art Fund, check the box that says "Would you like to provide additional comments or special instructions about your gift" then enter the phrase "Faculty Research and Creative Activities".

The Richmond Center for Visual Arts

The Gwen Frostic School of Art houses three museum-quality contemporary art galleries. Together, these galleries make up the Richmond Center for Visual Arts. Giving to the Richmond Center Fund makes you a Friend of the Richmond Center. Welcome friend, we hope to see you at any of our exhibitions, receptions, and artist talks which are always free and open to the public. 

John M. Carney Enrichment Awards for BFA Students in Photography

Provides support to full-time WMU students pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in photography who have demonstrated artistic talent and commitment to art with a minimum 3.2 GPA. Read more about John "Jack" Carney and the scholarship here.

University Permanent Art Collection

Western Michigan University boasts an impressive collection of classical and contemporary artworks called the University Permanent Art Collection. Works in the collection can be viewed by entering any building on Western's campus. The art is installed and maintained by Richmond Center for Visual Arts staff and managed by a board of knowledgeable creatives. Donating to the University Permanent Art Collection assists in the upkeep of current works and purchase of additional works.
