Dave Marlatt is an administrative for the design center and graphic design program in Western Michigan University's Gwen Frostic School of Art. He joined the staff in 1999. He holds a Master of Fine Arts in creative writing from WMU.
Marlatt's poems have appeared in Poetry Northwest, Nimrod, Passages North, The Sycamore Review, The Icarus Review, The Big Two Hearted and others. His collection of poetry, A Hog Slaughtering Woman, is available from New Issues Press. Marlatt recently completed the violin craftsmanship three-year summer workshop at the University of New Hampshire working with Geigenbaumeister Karl Roy. You may hear him locally playing Irish fiddle tunes with the band Whiskey Before Breakfast.
