Carleigh Reiffer

Carleigh Reiffer is a sculptural artist, instructor, and Ceramics M.F.A. candidate at the Gwen Frostic School of Art. After receiving her B.F.A. in Crafts from Longwood University, she expanded her practice through diverse internships across production pottery environments, craft schools, and independent artist studios. Reiffer's current body of work explores the nuanced spectrum of human emotion and connection. Driven by a process of material syncretism, she merges the structural permanence of clay with the soft, meticulous intimacy of embroidery and found objects. Her biophilic sculptures translate abstract concepts of holding and interpersonal relationships into physical, highly textured forms inspired by organic patterns found in nature.
