Alánna Veitch

Alánna Veitch was born and raised in Rockford, IL. She received her BFA from Illinois State University in 2021. Veitch's sculptural work references anatomy and organic matter within living things. Her exploration of time and the body through these works confronts the reality that abnormalities develop because bodies are weird and unpredictable. She has been a teacher’s assistant and taught several ceramic classes at Mclean County Arts Center in Normal, IL. Her work has been in various exhibitions within the region winning several awards and scholarships for her work. Veitch is currently a MFA candidate at Western Michigan University.
