The Point Person

Epic Clinical Analyst Senior, AdventHealth

Talented, reliable and team-oriented—these words capture just some of the qualities that make Maida Caraballo exceptional in her career, yet they only scratch the surface of how she shows up for her co-workers each day at AdventHealth.

As a clinical analyst senior, she works with electronic health records (EHR) on the Epic platform where she identifies and clarifies build requirements for invasive and non-invasive cardiology to ensure end user software needs are met for patient care and safety.

Getting to the heart of the matter is what Caraballo’s co-workers cite as one of her greatest strengths. “I was not entirely sure if I had made the right decision to leave the radiology department and submerse myself in the IT field,” says nominator Danielle Beste. “Within ten minutes, Maida introduced herself and outlined exactly how she would assist me in becoming the strongest Epic analyst I could be.” And Beste is not alone—Caraballo has educated hundreds of physicians, nurses, technicians and managers in Epic at dozens of hospitals and countless offices and outpatient centers across the U.S.

With more than nine years of experience in systems development, data analytics, operational collaboration and project management in healthcare IT, Caraballo holds four Epic EHR certifications, two Epic EHR badges and is a Certified SAFe 6 Advanced Scrum Master and Product Owner/Product Manager. Underlying all of Caraballo’s technical skills is the desire to teach, develop technical understanding and be there for the user, from beginning to end.
